Quote from the Heart: Zooey Deschanel

You've seen her from the TV series New Girl as the quirky and fun-loving schoolteacher, Jess. I'll post about her character in the show sometime. Right now, it's this quote.

I saw this from Pinterest on a someone's board for funny pins. I don't know why this was deemed to be funny. Maybe if you take it in literally that waking up is really hard because it really is. But this blog sees things on a different angle and I got something to share.

When you get older, you realize the value of sleep. You don't want to lose contact of your bed. The sound of your alarm annoys you and sometimes gives you a bad mood for disturbing your sweet dreams. But we need to wake up every morning because life goes on and there are a lot of things to be done. With a cup of coffee, we can go forget sleep for a few hours.

What if we live in a world where we are greeted with a tight hug every morning when we wake up from our deep slumber? It would be heavenly, I guess.
Hugs are really nice, ain't it? The feeling of someone's arms around you demands warmth and the feeling of security and being precious to someone. And to have that first thing in the morning is such a blissful feeling; to have someone you love and care in your arms. Welcome to the ideal world.

Agree with me here: waking up requires great effort. But not everyone gets to do that. Let's not forget to thank every morning that we still had a chance to wake up, another 24 hours to touch other's hearts and be touched; to set our mistakes right. The present is a second chance of yesterday's mistakes. So, every time you open your eyes in the morning, with or without the sound of alarm, be grateful that you still have another day to live a better life. Because there are others who are willing to only they weren't given the chance.

Close your eyes and feel the sun!
